Drums

The grading system in drumming typically follows a syllabus that includes both practical and theoretical components. The practical component assesses a student's drumming proficiency through performance pieces, technical exercises, and improvisation. The theoretical component assesses a student's understanding of music theory, notation, and rhythmic concepts.

Grade - 1

Pieces

  • Candidates are required to play three pieces, chosen from the published list.

Technical Work

  •  Rudimental Study - Compulsory.Single Stroke roll, Double Stroke roll, Single paradiddle.

Accompanied work

  • Candidate has to play an one piece from the given three piece of Group A

Unaccompanied work

  • Candidate has to play any one piece from the given three piece of Group B

Supporting Test

  • Candidates are required to perform the following test
    Sight reading - Compulsory, Improvisation or Composing or Aural
